Troubleshooting
Having a problem viewing our website with your browser?
Our website currently supports Internet Explorer up to version 8. We are working on some updates to our site to support other browsers.
Our website may not work as expected in Windows Internet Explorer 9. You may experience any of the following problems:
-
Menus, images, or text in the wrong positions
-
Some website features may not work
-
You receive script error messages
-
Internet Explorer stops working
Having a problem accessing your application online?
-
The most common problem is confusing PIN with password.
-
Your PIN is the four digit number sent to you with your letter confirming your
eligibility or a letter responding to your request for a PIN. If you
want to update your application online, you need your PIN to register for
Application Update.
-
Once you are registered for Application Update, you will be prompted to
create a password and answer a personal security question. You
need your password to log in to Application Update.
-
Forgot your password? When you created a
password, you were asked to create a security question and answer. If you
can remember the security question and answer you can change your password.
If you do not remember, you will have to contact Housing Connections to
request a new PIN and re-register with the new PIN.
-
Pop-up blockers must be disabled. Application Update uses pop-ups
so in order to use it you must disable pop-up blockers.
How will you know that it is the pop-up blocker that is the problem? A
screen is supposed to pop-up after you have registered asking you to create a
password. If it doesn't, you have the pop-up blocker on. Click
here for information on how to disable pop-up blockers for Housing
Connections website.
-
Housing Connections' website currently only supports the Microsoft
Internet Explorer browser. If you are a MAC user you will have to
download Internet Explorer to access the website.
-
To access PDF documents on Housing Connections' website you need to have Adobe
Reader versions 5.0 or greater.
-
If you have tried to log in unsuccessfully three times, you will be
blocked for 48 hours as a security measure.
-
If your application is not at 'eligible'
status or if your application is 'on hold' you will not have access.
Please contact Housing Connections for further information.
-
Tip: Gather all information needed before beginning the online application.
Currently Housing Connections' Apply Online times out when there is
no activity for 60 minutes; nothing will be saved and
you will need to start over.
